Skilled workers are people whose education and work experience will help them find work and make a home for themselves as Permanent Residents in Canada. Applying to come to Canada as a Skilled Worker is not difficult.

Skilled workers must have at least one year of full-time (37.5 hours per week or more) work experience within the past 10 years in one of the occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC).

Skilled workers are then assessed according to various selection criteria by Citizenship and Immigration Canada officials and they must achieve a minimum score of 67 points overall in order to be eligible to become Permanent Residents of Canada.
