Skilled workers are people whose education and work experience will
help them find work and make a home for themselves as Permanent Residents
in Canada. Applying to come to Canada as a Skilled Worker is not
difficult.
Skilled workers must have at least one year of full-time (37.5 hours
per week or more) work experience within the past 10 years in one of the
occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Skilled workers are then assessed according to various selection
criteria by Citizenship and Immigration Canada officials and they must
achieve a minimum score of 67 points overall in order to be
eligible to become Permanent Residents of Canada.
